0–10 V control from the KNX bus, in 2 SU

The AAE-410 adds 4 analogue outputs 0–10 V to an MSA-810 master. It drives the 0–10 V inputs found on HVAC valve actuators, damper motors, fan speed controllers and analogue LED drivers, without a separate KNX analogue actuator or its own bus address.

What it does

Output a percentage as 0–10 V. Each channel follows a 0–100 % KNX value — for dampers, valves, fan speed.

Control a temperature directly. PI controller per channel with proportional band and reset time; the output goes straight to the valve actuator.

Dim 0–10 V LED drivers. Dimming curves, day/night values and staircase function on each channel.

Mix colour. Group 3 channels for RGB, 4 for RGBW, or 2 for Tunable White with independent brightness and colour temperature.

What it spares you

No separate KNX analogue actuator and no extra KNX address.
No external controller between the room thermostat and the valve: the PI loop runs in the extension.
No power wiring: the extension is fed by the master.
No cabinet space: 2 SU, the smallest module of the range.

Ventilation: a KNX CO₂ sensor drives the 0–10 V speed input of a Zehnder or Renson unit.
Fan coil: PI control of the 0–10 V valve actuator (Belimo, Siemens) from a KNX room temperature.
Retail: Tunable White LED drivers with 0–10 V input follow a daylight schedule.
Pool room: the 0–10 V damper of the dehumidifier follows the KNX humidity sensor.

One KNX address, up to 72 channels

The AAE-410 is part of the Elausys Universal KNX Actuator System: one MSA-810 master and up to 8 extensions, clipped together on the DIN rail with the side connector. The master carries the KNX address and the ETS application; every extension channel appears as a group object of the master. Switching, blinds, heating valves, dimming, DALI, LED and analogue outputs share one device, one application and one ElauPro project.

FAQ

Does it work on its own? No. It needs an MSA-810 master.

Can it drive a 0–10 V load that draws more than 2 mA? Not directly — 2 mA is the limit per output. Check the input impedance of the controlled device.

Is 1–10 V supported? The output is 0–10 V. Most 1–10 V drivers accept it; set the minimum dimming level in ETS to suit.

How many extensions can I add? Up to 8 on one master, in any combination.
