This guide will help you set up your HyperVisu server and start controlling your KNX smart home system in just a few simple steps.
Hardware Setup #
Initial Connections #
- Connect the HyperVisu server to a 24V DC power supply
- Connect the network port to your building’s local network using an Ethernet cable
- Note: By default, the server comes with a static IP address: 192.168.1.60
Power Up #
- Turn on the power supply
- Allow several minutes for the server to fully boot up
- The server is ready when the network LED is ON
First Access to the Server #
Connect to the Administration Interface #
- On a computer connected to the same network, open a web browser
- Enter the server’s IP address in the address bar: 192.168.1.60
- You will see the HyperVisu landing page with two options:
- Administration: For server configuration
- HyperVisu: For accessing the visualization interface
Login to Administration #
- Click on the Administration button
- Use the default login credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: admin1
Basic Server Configuration #
Network Settings (Optional) #
If you need to change the default IP address:
- Go to the Network Settings section
- Choose between DHCP or static IP configuration
- For static IP, enter:
- IP address
- Gateway address
- Subnet mask
- Set the timezone to match your local time
- Click Submit to apply changes
Connect to ElauPro #
To link your HyperVisu server with your ElauPro project:
- In the administration interface, locate the System Information section
- Note the Serial Number and Security Token
- In your ElauPro account:
- Go to the Visualization section, Server tab
- Edit the server configuration
- Enter the serial number and token
- Click Save to establish the connection
- The status will change to “online” in ElauPro when connected successfully
Download Configuration from ElauPro #
- Once the connection is established, return to ElauPro
- Go to the Server tab in the Visualization section
- Click Download to transfer your project configuration to the HyperVisu server
- Wait for the download to complete
- The server will automatically apply the new configuration
Accessing the Visualization Interface #
Web Application #
- Return to the HyperVisu landing page (http://[server-ip])
- Click on the HyperVisu button
- Enter the username and password of a user defined in ElauPro
- The visualization interface will load, showing your configured rooms and devices
Mobile Application #
- Install the HyperVisu mobile app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
- Open the application
- On the connection screen, enter:
- The IP address of your HyperVisu server and tap Connect
- Username and password as defined in ElauPro and tap Login
Basic Operation #
Navigating the Interface #
- Home Screen: Shows global controls and favorites
- Rooms: Navigate to specific rooms in your building
- Categories: View devices grouped by type (lighting, blinds, climate, etc.)
Controlling Devices #
- Tap widgets to control devices (lights, shutters, thermostats)
- Use sliders to adjust values (dimming levels, temperature setpoints)
- Long-press on rooms or categories to add them to favorites
Creating a Simple Scenario #
- Click the “+” button in the top right corner
- Select Add Scene
- Enter a name for your scenario
- Select the devices to include
- Set the desired state for each device
- Save the scenario
- Your scenario will appear in the scenarios list and can be triggered with a single tap
