The File Management feature in ElauPro allows you to store, organize, and access all project-related documentation in a centralized location. This ensures that all project participants have access to the same information, making collaboration more efficient.
Managing Project Files #
Upload and Organization #
You can add various types of documents to your project for reference and sharing with collaborators:
- Navigate to the “Files” section in the main menu on the left side of the screen.
- Click the “+ Add File” button in the top-right corner of the screen.
- A file upload dialog will appear where you can:
- Drag and drop files directly into the upload area
- Click the “Browse” button to select files from your computer
- Note that there is a file size limit of 20MB per file

- After selecting a file, you can:
- Review the file name (which is pre-filled based on the uploaded file)
- Modify the file name if needed
- Select a folder for organizing your file
- Click “Save” to complete the upload
Folder Structure #
ElauPro allows you to organize your files using folders for better classification and easier access:
- When uploading a file, you can select an existing folder from the dropdown menu or create a new one by typing a new folder name.
- The folder structure is displayed in the main Files view, where you can:
- Filter files by folder using the “All Folders” dropdown at the top-right of the screen
- View which folder each file belongs to in the “Folder” column of the files list

- Common folder structures include:
- Lists: For output lists, material lists, and other tabular data
- Diagrams: For schematics and technical drawings
- Documentation: For user manuals and specifications
- Plans: For building floor plans and layout designs
- Contracts: For agreements and formal documents
File Access #
Downloading Files #
To download files from ElauPro to your local computer:
- In the Files section, locate the file you wish to download.
- In the “Action” column, click the download icon (downward arrow).
- The file will be downloaded according to your browser’s download settings.
The Files section shows key information for each file:
- File name
- Creator (user who uploaded the file)
- Folder location
- Creation date
- Action buttons (download, delete, etc.)
Using the search box at the top-right, you can quickly filter files by name, helping you locate specific documents in larger projects.
Remember that all project participants with appropriate access permissions will be able to view and download these files, making this a convenient central repository for all project documentation.
