Overview
The AJAX-MBTCP is a professional Modbus TCP gateway designed for seamless integration of AJAX alarm systems into building automation installations. This bidirectional interface enables real-time communication between security and building management systems over Ethernet, allowing integrators to create intelligent responses to security events throughout the installation.
Technical Capabilities
The gateway provides comprehensive alarm system integration through Ethernet communication with AJAX panels. Key capabilities include monitoring up to 96 zones with individual coils for real-time status feedback (when system is armed). The AJAX-MBTCP connects via standard RJ45 Ethernet, simplifying installation in modern IP-based alarm infrastructures.
Area management supports up to 4 security areas with full arm, partial arm (night mode), and disarm control directly from Modbus TCP compatible visualization or systems. Each area provides 6 distinct status feedback objects: disarmed, armed, partial armed (night mode), fire alarm, panic alarm, and intrusion alarm. This granular status information enables sophisticated building automation responses to security events.
Installation and Configuration
The compact 2 SU DIN-rail module requires an external 12-30VDC power supply connected via screw terminal. The Ethernet connection to the alarm panel uses a standard RJ45 connector. On the alarm system side, the telesurveillance IP address must be configured.
Configuration is performed entirely from the embedded web page.
