Eight local inputs for KNX control
The DATEC 1630.03160/62100 interfaces eight potential-free contacts with KNX. Connect conventional push-buttons or switches to control lighting, shading and other KNX equipment in offices, hotel rooms and apartments.
Combine contact and temperature inputs
Up to seven of the eight inputs can be used for compatible DATEC temperature sensors in place of dry contacts. These inputs can measure room, outdoor or inlet-air temperature within the specified sensor measurement range.
Use DATEC sensor 1630.03121/56XXX, where XXX identifies the cable length in centimetres, with NTC 6K8 and B25/100 = 4200 K characteristics. Temperature-sensor inputs share the eight available input channels.
Display status locally
Eight outputs drive low-current status LEDs. Each LED can show the state of the corresponding binary input or the value of a separate KNX communication object, allowing local indication alongside the connected controls.
Power and installation
The module is powered from the KNX bus, with approximately 10 mA maximum consumption. It supplies the 5 VDC input sensing voltage and LED-output voltage through internal series resistors. Mains voltage is not required for application download.
The IP20 housing measures approximately 50.3 × 46.7 × 17.1 mm and is designed for flush mounting. Use twisted pair for input and LED wiring, up to 30 m. The optional DATEC 1633.02000/00 support allows DIN-rail mounting.
