Quick Start Guide for Inverters Gateways

Get your ELAUSYS INV-KNX inverter gateway up and running in minutes: wiring, web configuration, ETS setup, a quick test and troubleshooting.

Bring your PV inverter data into KNX. This guide walks you through mounting, wiring, configuring and testing your ELAUSYS INV-KNX inverter gateway. For full details, see the user manual.

1. Connection

  1. Mount on DIN rail — 2 SU module in the cabinet.
  2. Connect the KNX bus — top terminal.
  3. Connect 12–30 VDC power — bottom screw terminal.
  4. Plug Ethernet (RJ45) — same LAN as the inverter / dongle.

Front panel LEDs

  • Network — link OK.
  • Connected — inverter Modbus OK.
  • P — KNX programming button.
  • Red — programming status.

2. Configuration

  1. Enable Modbus TCP on the inverter — see the user manual.
  2. Open the web interface — browse to 192.168.1.51 (default).
  3. Set IP & Modbus TCP — static IP, server IP, port number, unit ID.
  4. Add the gateway in ETS — pick a free physical address (e.g. 1.1.2).
  5. Configure ETS parameters — inverter model, AC type, PV, batteries.
  6. Group addresses & load — assign GAs, press P, download the application.

3. Quick test

  • Network LED on — powered and Ethernet link established.
  • Connected LED on — Modbus link with inverter OK.
  • AC Power object updates — value visible in the ETS group monitor.

4. Troubleshooting
