Up and running in 5 minutes. This guide walks you through mounting, wiring, configuring and testing your ELAUSYS AJAX-MBTCP gateway, which exposes your AJAX alarm system over Modbus TCP. For full details, see the user manual.
1. Connection
- Mount on DIN rail — 2 SU enclosure.
- Power → bottom terminal — 12–30 VDC screw terminal.
- Ethernet → RJ45 — same LAN as the AJAX Hub & Modbus master.
- Power on — Modbus TCP server on port 502.
Front panel LEDs
- Network — Ethernet OK.
- Connected — AJAX Hub communication OK.
2. Configuration
- Set gateway IP — browse to
192.168.1.51, then set a static IP.
- Enter AJAX Hub ID — Web UI → AJAX Config → 8-character Hub ID.
- AJAX Hub → SIA events — in Monitoring Station, set the gateway IP + port
2410.
- Invite Elausys — in the AJAX app, invite info@elausys.be (arm/disarm).
- Set Partition Mode — match the AJAX groups and set the area count.
- Modbus TCP ready — port 502, Unit ID 1. Poll the coils.
3. Quick test
- ✅ Network LED green — Ethernet link OK.
- ✅ Connected LED green — AJAX Hub communication OK.
- ✅ Write arm/disarm coil — the AJAX app reflects the new state.
- ✅ Trigger a zone with the system armed — detector coil toggles (0x2F+).
4. Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|
| No detector updates | Arm the system or set the zone to Always Active. |
| Arm/disarm ignored | Invite Elausys + check internet access. |
| Connected LED off | Check LAN + SIA target = gateway IP : 2410. |
| Modbus read fails | Poll < 60 s. Write only coils 0x00–0x0A. |
