DIN-rail Enclosure 2TE

Overview

The DIN-2TE is an optional accessory enclosure that enables professional DIN-rail mounting of Elausys gateway boards. This 2 space unit (2TE) enclosure converts the standard panel-mount JA-KNX and ANB-KNX gateways into DIN-rail compatible modules, allowing seamless integration into electrical distribution cabinets and control panels alongside other KNX devices.

Technical Capabilities

The enclosure accommodates Elausys circuit boards used in the JA-KNX (Jablotron interface) and ANB-KNX (AnB Rimex TRICOM interface) gateways. The integrated flexible flat cable connects the gateway board to the external KNX bus connector mounted on the enclosure front panel, maintaining all electrical connections while providing a clean, professional appearance.

The 2TE width follows the standard DIN-rail module sizing convention (approximately 36mm width), ensuring compatibility with common electrical cabinet layouts and allowing efficient use of panel space. The enclosure design positions the terminal blocks at the bottom for convenient wiring access during installation.

Installation and Configuration

Assembly requires no special tools. The enclosure opens via side clips to access the internal mounting area.

The enclosure mounts onto standard 35mm DIN rails using integrated snap-on clips, providing secure attachment without additional hardware. The design allows the gateway to be installed alongside KNX power supplies, actuators, and other DIN-rail mounted automation equipment.

Residential installations benefit from organized electrical cabinet layouts where the alarm-to-KNX gateway can be mounted alongside the KNX power supply and other system components rather than inside the alarm panel enclosure.

Compatibility and Integration

The DIN-2TE enclosure is designed specifically for use with Elausys JA-KNX (Jablotron 100 series interface) and ANB-KNX (AnB Rimex TRICOM interface) gateway boards.

The enclosure is an optional accessory and is not required for gateway operation. Both JA-KNX and ANB-KNX gateways include an integrated screw hole for direct panel mounting inside the alarm control panel as the standard installation method. The DIN-2TE provides an alternative mounting option when DIN-rail installation is preferred.
