Switching and blind control in a flush-mounted module
The DATEC 1630.03160/61100 combines four independent potential-free relay outputs with eight local binary inputs and four status LED outputs. It supports lighting and shading applications in offices, hotel rooms and other buildings.
Control functions and applications
Use the four outputs to switch separate loads, or combine two outputs for each blind or shutter. The module can control up to two blinds, or a combination such as two switched circuits and one blind.
Connect dry-contact push-buttons to the local inputs for direct control. Outputs can also be controlled through KNX. Connect low-current LEDs to indicate relay status or respond to KNX telegrams.
Select loads within the relay ratings
Each normally open relay provides an independent dry contact for 230 VAC or lower-voltage circuits. The resistive contact rating is 10 A at 250 VAC. Lamp, ballast and motor loads have separate ratings in the datasheet; the 10 A resistive rating does not apply to every load type.
Power and installation
The electronics draw up to 30 mA from the KNX bus with all outputs active. Mains voltage is not required to download the application. The switched circuits need their own load supply.
The IP20 housing measures 50.2 × 46.7 × 29.4 mm and is designed for flush mounting. The optional DATEC 1633.02000/00 support allows DIN-rail mounting. Local input and LED wiring can be extended up to 30 m using twisted pair.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many blinds can it control?
Up to two, using two relay outputs per blind or shutter. Outputs assigned to a blind are not also available as independent switching channels.
Can I combine switching and blind control?
Yes. For example, use two outputs for separate switched circuits and the remaining pair for one blind.
Can local push-buttons control the outputs?
Yes. The eight local binary inputs accept dry-contact push-buttons. The device supplies the input sensing voltage.
What can the LED outputs display?
The four outputs drive low-current LEDs for relay status indication or control through KNX telegrams.
Is a separate supply needed for the electronics?
