The Elausys EVO-KNX makes supported alarm-system information available as KNX group objects. View alarm states alongside other building information and use them in configured automation.
The gateway communicates locally with the alarm panel. An internet connection or cloud service is not required for monitoring or commands.
Monitor zones and alarm-system states
Monitor up to 96 zones and four partitions, with nine status objects per partition. Read the status of up to 30 programmable outputs (PGMs) alongside partition states and alarm indications.
Available information depends on the panel configuration and the supported interface.
Use alarm information in building automation
Display alarm information in HyperVisu or another KNX visualisation. For example, use a confirmed armed state to recall an away scene for lighting and heating. Scene responses are configured in the receiving KNX devices.
Send arm, partial-arm, and disarm commands for up to four partitions using the alarm user code configured in ETS. Sixteen virtual inputs allow KNX commands to trigger actions defined in the Paradox panel. PGM outputs are monitored rather than directly switched by the gateway.
The alarm panel continues to manage its own security functions. The gateway adds integration with the building automation system.
Compatibility and installation
Supported systems: Paradox EVO and DGP series panels with a PRT3 or BUS2SER module.
Connect through a PRT3 or BUS2SER module configured for the supported RS232 ASCII protocol at 9600 baud. Enable the required zone and partition event reporting. The RS232 cable is included; the PRT3 module is supplied separately.
Installation requires a KNX bus connection and the supported alarm-panel interface, plus an external 12 VDC power supply. Configure KNX parameters and group addresses in ETS5 or ETS6.
For larger installations, up to 192 zones and 8 partitions using 2 gateways with the appropriate offsets can be configured where supported by the panel.
