A group object (GO) is a device datapoint. A group address (GA) links it to other KNX devices or a visualisation. Assign group addresses only to the objects needed by the project and match their datatypes to Section 8.

Commissioning checks

GOObjectWhat to check
1Module status0 means normal operation; investigate a non-zero status.
2Firmware versionRead the version and check the applicability in Section 11.
24AC PowerCompare the value with the inverter display or application.
30AC EnergyCompare the accumulated value and units.
42 / 43Battery power / SOCWhere supported, enable Battery 1 and compare with the battery state.
55PowermeterWhere supported, enable the meter and verify the measurement direction.

Check power directions and availability

GO 41 Battery 1 Running Status: 0: offline 2: standby 3: running 4: fault 5: sleep mode

GO 42 Battery 1 power: > 0: charging < 0: discharging

GO 49 Battery 2 power: > 0: charging < 0: discharging (NOT USED)

GO 55 Powermeter: > 0: charging < 0: discharging

Unavailable objects

Objects marked NOT USED are unavailable for this application even when the generic ETS interface exposes them. Check equipment and operating conditions before treating zero values as a fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a group object and a group address?

A group object is a device datapoint. A group address links that datapoint to other KNX devices or a visualisation. Assign addresses to the required objects and use the matching datatypes.

Does a zero measurement always indicate a fault?

No. Check the operating conditions and equipment availability before treating zero as a communication fault. Also wait for the configured polling interval.
