Gateway web configuration

The factory gateway IP address is 192.168.1.51. Connect a laptop that can reach this address and open it in a browser. Assign a free fixed IP address suitable for the installation and reconnect at the new address after applying the change.

Connection check

After setting the application model and communication parameters, check that the Connected LED is on. The Network LED confirms only the physical Ethernet link; it does not confirm valid inverter data on KNX.

Configure Huawei

SUN2000 Series using a SmartDongle:

From the Fusion Solar portal, verify that the SmartDongle software version is >= SPC120.

If the software version is not up to date, there are two ways to perform the firmware upgrade:

  1. Local via APP

You can download the latest version from Huawei homepage.

https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/digital-power/sdongle-pid-23826585/software

  1. Upgrade via Portal:

Plants > Upgrade Management > Add

Select Device type: Smart Dongle > SPC 120 and Device

In the FusionSolar application, modbus should be enabled:

EMMA connection setup

  1. Connection of the EMMA must be via LAN, as WLAN does not work:
  • Open the Fusion Solar App with installer credentials
  • Go to Connect EMMA > Communication configuration > Router configuration
  • Select LAN
  1. For the physical LAN connection, use the WAN port on the EMMA, NOT the LAN port.
  2. Ensure the Gateway is in the same (V)LAN as the EMMA.
  3. Activate Modbus on EMMA:
  • Via the Fusion Solar app with the installer credentials
  • Navigate to Services > "Commissioning the device" in the Settings
  • Go to Communication configuration
  • Enable Modbus TCP connection
  • Turn TLS off
  • Set the Elausys GATEWAY address as the client IP address

SUN2000L connection setup

The following procedure applies to SUN2000L inverters.

Install the Huawei mobile application “FusionHome” on your smartphone.

If your inverter is not yet connected to the WIFI network, follow the instructions from the video below :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDbOp_GlXDE

In the application, select your inverter and login using the installer code. Default code is 00000a

From the home page choose “Communication configuration”, set the management system connection parameters:

  • Set at domain name: IP address of the KNX gateway
  • Assure that the port is 502 and encrypted transmission is disabled.
  • After you set the domain name and the port, press “Connect”
  • Check that the connection with the KNX gateway is established on the front panel of the KNX gateway, the status LED “Connected” should be ON.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the gateway factory IP address?

The factory address is 192.168.1.51. Use a laptop that can reach this address, assign a suitable free fixed IP address and reconnect at the new address.

Which Modbus connection settings should I use?

For SUN2000 via SmartDongle, use Connect mode, port 502 and Unit ID 1. For EMMA, use Connect mode, port 502 and Unit ID 0. SUN2000L uses Listen mode, port 502 and Unit ID 0, with the inverter connecting to the gateway.

Which physical port should I use on EMMA?

Select LAN in the EMMA router configuration, but connect the Ethernet cable to the physical WAN port. Keep EMMA and the gateway on the same VLAN. Enable Modbus TCP, turn TLS off and set the gateway IP address as the allowed client.
