DALI lighting control through the MSA-810 system
The DBE-64 is a DALI extension for the MSA-810 KNX master actuator, supporting up to 64 DALI control-gear addresses and 16 DALI groups. Control compatible DALI ballasts and LED drivers individually or in groups. Select 32, 48, or 64 KNX control channels and map each channel to a DALI address or group.
Control functions and applications
Commission the DALI line through the system’s web interface. Search for devices, add unassigned control gear, set group membership, and test outputs. Lamp status and ballast failures are available by address for KNX monitoring.
DALI input devices, such as sensors and push-buttons, are not supported.
Integrate with the master actuator system
The DBE-64 is an extension of the Elausys Universal KNX Actuator System and cannot operate independently. Its channels appear in the MSA-810 application, using the master’s KNX address.
Plan the module combination in ElauPro. System capacity depends on the extension types and their channel requirements. The combined limit of 40 channels at 10 A applies to MSA-810, SAE-810, and SAE-2410.
Power, installation, and configuration
The master supplies the extension’s control electronics through the side connector. The DALI bus supply additionally requires an external 24 VDC input, rated for up to 300 mA. Connected luminaires require their own load supply.
Mount the module on a 35 mm DIN rail in the same row as the master and connect it to the extension chain. Generate the system application in ElauPro and configure the channels in ETS5 or ETS6. Use the web interface for DALI addressing, grouping, and testing. Configured KNX operation does not require an internet connection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this extension operate on its own?
No. It requires an MSA-810 master and is configured within the master’s ETS application. It does not need a separate KNX address.
Do I need a separate DALI power supply?
The DALI bus supply is built in. The DBE-64 requires an external 24 VDC supply sized for its maximum 300 mA input. This does not replace the luminaires’ power supply.
Can I mix address and group control?
Yes. Each configured KNX channel maps to either a short address or a group. Plan the required mappings within the selected 32-, 48-, or 64-channel configuration.
Does it support DALI sensors and push-buttons?
No. This extension controls DALI control gear such as ballasts and drivers. DALI input devices are not supported.
What power supply is required?
Control from MSA-810; external 24 VDC input, maximum 300 mA. Built-in DALI bus supply; luminaires and control gear require their own load supply.
How is it configured?
