The DAE-225 is a two-channel phase-dimming extension for the MSA-810 KNX master actuator, rated up to 250 W per channel for halogen or incandescent lamps. Dim compatible 230 V lighting circuits with leading-edge or trailing-edge operation selected per channel. Choose the mode and load size according to the lamp or driver requirements.
Control functions and applications
Set dimming curves, minimum and maximum brightness, and day/night values for each circuit. The configured parallel mode combines both outputs for one compatible load, within the documented load ratings. LED performance depends on the lamp or driver and selected settings.

Integrate with the master actuator system
The DAE-225 is an extension of the Elausys Universal KNX Actuator System and cannot operate independently. Its channels appear in the MSA-810 application, using the master’s KNX address.
Plan the module combination in ElauPro. System capacity depends on the extension types and their channel requirements. The combined limit of 40 channels at 10 A applies to MSA-810, SAE-810, and SAE-2410.
Power, installation, and configuration
The master supplies the extension’s control electronics through the side connector. The lighting circuits require a 230 VAC supply.
Mount the module on a 35 mm DIN rail in the same row as the master and connect it to the extension chain. Generate the system application in ElauPro and configure the channels in ETS5 or ETS6. Configured KNX operation does not require an internet connection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this extension operate on its own?
No. It requires an MSA-810 master and is configured within the master’s ETS application. It does not need a separate KNX address.
Will it dim any LED lamp?
No. Use lamps or drivers intended for phase dimming and check their compatibility with the selected dimming mode. The 2 W minimum load does not guarantee compatibility with every LED product.
Can I use both channels for one larger circuit?
Yes, using the documented parallel configuration. The maximum is up to 500 W, depending on load type. Follow the manufacturer’s load table and parallel-mode wiring instructions.
Which extension should I use for 0–10 V or DALI lighting?
Use AAE-410 for compatible 0–10 V control inputs or DBE-64 for compatible DALI control gear.
What power supply is required?
From MSA-810 through the side connector. 230 VAC supply for the connected lighting circuits.
How is it configured?
Generate the actuator-system application in ElauPro, then configure the channels and group addresses in ETS5 or ETS6. The master and extensions share one KNX address and application.
