Eight PWM channels for constant-voltage LED lighting
The LAE-802 is an eight-channel PWM LED extension for the MSA-810 KNX master actuator, supporting compatible 12–24 VDC constant-voltage strips at up to 2 A per channel. Dim single-colour LED strips or group outputs for RGB, RGBW, and Tunable White lighting. The module is designed for compatible constant-voltage, common-anode LED loads.
Control functions and applications
Configure brightness curves and day/night levels, or group channels for colour and colour-temperature control. Colour groups consume several of the eight outputs, so the number of independently controlled lighting groups depends on the selected modes.
Constant-current LED loads require a suitable driver and are not connected directly to these outputs.
Integrate with the master actuator system
The LAE-802 is an extension of the Elausys Universal KNX Actuator System and cannot operate independently. Its channels appear in the MSA-810 application, using the master’s KNX address.
Plan the module combination in ElauPro. System capacity depends on the extension types and their channel requirements. The combined limit of 40 channels at 10 A applies to MSA-810, SAE-810, and SAE-2410.
Power, installation, and configuration
The master supplies the extension’s control electronics through the side connector. Connect a separate 12–24 VDC LED supply to DC IN, sized for the total connected load.
Mount the module on a 35 mm DIN rail in the same row as the master and connect it to the extension chain. Generate the system application in ElauPro and configure the channels in ETS5 or ETS6. Configured KNX operation does not require an internet connection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this extension operate on its own?
No. It requires an MSA-810 master and is configured within the master’s ETS application. It does not need a separate KNX address.
Which LED strips are compatible?
Use compatible 12 or 24 VDC constant-voltage, common-anode strips. Constant-current LEDs require a suitable driver rather than direct connection to this extension.
What load can one channel drive?
The maximum is 2 A, equivalent to 24 W at 12 V or 48 W at 24 V. Cable length, voltage drop, and the LED supply must also suit the installation.
Is the LED load powered by the master?
No. The master supplies the control electronics. A separate LED power supply connects to DC IN.
What power supply is required?
From MSA-810 through the side connector. External 12–24 VDC LED supply through DC IN, sized for the total load.
How is it configured?
Generate the actuator-system application in ElauPro, then configure the channels and group addresses in ETS5 or ETS6. The master and extensions share one KNX address and application.
