Alarm-side communication settings and configuration needed for the KNX interface.

PRT3 communication options

In the PRT3 Options tab, enable the serial port, select Home Automation, set 9600 baud and select ASCII Protocol.

Enable event reporting and the required functions in the following settings. If communication does not start, verify Section 016 from the keypad as described in Troubleshooting.

Areas and zones

Select the areas and zones that should be enabled in the interface.

Virtual inputs and PGM

When virtual inputs or PGM are required, enable and configure them in their respective tabs.

Report options

In Report Options / Messages, select everything under Report Options 1 and 2.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which communication settings must I use?

Enable the PRT3 serial port, select 9600 baud, Home Automation and ASCII. Enable the required functions and all Report Options 1 and 2.

Which Report Options should be enabled?

Select every option under Report Options 1 and 2. If the settings have not taken effect, verify the PRT3 communication options from the keypad as described in Troubleshooting.
