A group object is a gateway datapoint. A group address links that datapoint to other KNX devices or a visualisation; use the matching object size and datatype.

What should Module status report?

Module status (GO 1) reports 0 during normal operation. A non-zero value indicates an error.

How should I validate zone and area statuses?

Change an enabled zone or mapped area at the alarm panel and compare its state in ETS Group Monitor. Account for the zone offset, area mapping and Send area status setting.
