Grafana

Grafana is the optional dashboard service for power users who want free-form charts over the logged history.

  • API token. On the Services page, open the Grafana configuration and paste an API token (create a service-account token in Grafana under Administration → Service accounts). The token is stored securely and cannot be displayed again after saving. The admin panel uses it to read and write dashboards for you.
  • Per-object panel builder. From a communication object you can build a Grafana panel without writing a query: pick the panel type, aggregation function and period, and time range, then either Add panel to an existing (or new) dashboard directly, or copy the generated panel JSON / Flux query and paste it into Grafana yourself (see “The Devices Workspace”).
  • Opening Grafana. When the service is enabled, Grafana appears in the Apps group of the sidebar and opens in a new tab.
