Connection arrangement

The KNX bus is connected on the top side of the gateway.

An external power supply 12-30VDC is required and connected on the bottom side of the module, beside the RJ45 connector for the ethernet cable.

Compatibility and limitations

Use a Fronius inverter with the supported SunSpec Modbus interface. Connect it to the same router/network as the gateway. Select model 3 for Fronius inverters including Gen24, or model 6 for Fronius Symo Hybrid. Enable Modbus TCP and select the int+SF SunSpec data format as described in Section 4.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the gateway connections?

What is the difference between the Network and Connected LEDs?

Network indicates a physical Ethernet connection. Connected indicates communication with the inverter.

Which Fronius model should I select?

Select model 3 for Fronius inverters including Gen24, or model 6 for Fronius Symo Hybrid. The inverter must support the required SunSpec Modbus interface.
