Connect a Jablotron JA-100 alarm system to KNX

The JA-KNX puts a Jablotron 100 series alarm system on the KNX bus through the JA-121T RS485 module. Every zone, section and PG output becomes an ordinary KNX group object in ETS: 96 zones, 4 sections with 9 status objects each, 32 PG outputs in both directions and a KNX scene per section status.

What it does

Monitor 96 zones on the bus. Each Jablotron detector is a 1-bit group object — the same object any KNX actuator, logic module or visualisation reads.

Arm and disarm from KNX. Full arm, partial arm and disarm for up to 4 sections from a KNX push-button, a HyperVisu screen or a timer. The user code is stored in the ETS parameters.

Control and read 32 PG outputs. Switch a Jablotron PG from KNX and read its state back. Use PGs as the link for anything the panel can do that KNX cannot see directly.

Report section status in detail. 9 objects per section: disarmed, entry delay, exit delay, armed, partial armed, fire alarm, siren on, panic alarm, intrusion alarm.

Recall a KNX scene on every status change. One scene number (0–64) per section status: armed → night scene, intrusion → all lights on, disarmed → welcome scene.

What it spares you

No second set of presence detectors: the Jablotron PIRs light the corridors.
No PC, software bridge or cloud service between the panel and the bus.
No termination resistor to add: it is built into the gateway.
No new ETS application to learn: the same Elausys alarm gateway application as the EVO-KNX, NXG-KNX, NX-KNX and AJAX-KNX.
No extra power supply: 12 VDC from the panel, under 16 mA on the bus.

Arm the Jablotron from the KNX push-button by the front door; the scene switches every light off, lowers the blinds and sets the heating to eco.
A Jablotron JA-110P PIR trips in the staircase at night; an Elausys SAE-810 lights the stairs for two minutes.
A HyperVisu touch screen arms section 2 (garage and workshop) while the house stays disarmed.
A KNX logic block sets PG 5 when the garden lights are on, so the panel can act on it.
Fire alarm on the panel: KNX opens the blinds, lights the escape route and stops the ventilation.

Local, standard, independent

Everything the gateway does surfaces as KNX group objects in ETS — nothing is hidden in a proprietary app. It runs without an internet connection, an account or a subscription. The Jablotron panel keeps its own keypads, sirens and monitoring; KNX is added alongside the security system, never in place of it.

Which Jablotron panels are supported? All Jablotron 100 series panels (JA-100 / JA-100+ family) fitted with a JA-121T RS485 module.

Is the JA-121T included? No. Order it with the gateway or from your Jablotron distributor; it is listed in the related products.

Can I arm the alarm from a KNX push-button? Yes. Arm, partial arm and disarm are sent with the user code stored in ETS.

Can KNX trigger something on the panel? Yes, through the 32 PG outputs — set a PG from KNX and the panel reacts to it.
