Configure the gateway using ETS and its embedded webpage. The web configuration establishes the inverter link; ETS defines the KNX address, application parameters and group-address associations.
Assign the physical address
- Add the appropriate Elausys INV-KNX application to the ETS project.
- Choose an unused physical address in the project topology.
- Press the gateway P button to enter KNX programming mode and download the physical address from ETS.
Set the application parameters
- Open the device Parameters tab and select the installed AC network type.
- Select the number of connected PV circuits. Only circuits 1 and 2 apply to this SMA application.
- Select inverter model 23 by default. If the legacy model 1 is required, change the gateway Unit Id to 126 as well.
- Choose the Refresh rate (min) for polling the complete data set.
- Enable Battery 1 if fitted and Powermeter if the installation supplies meter data. Leave Battery 2 as Not Used.
- Set the timezone and daylight-saving option if weekly calendar logic is used. Leave Device Options empty.
Link objects and download the application
Open the Group Objects tab. Assign a KNX group address to each object the project needs, using the datatype in Sections 8.1-8.3. Enable the related ETS parameter when a required optional object is hidden.
Once the parameters and group objects are configured, perform a full download for the first commissioning. Use the P button when ETS requires programming mode. After later parameter or group-address changes, download the updated application to the gateway.
Verify the result
Use ETS Group Monitor to check Module status, read Firmware version and compare live measurements against the inverter. Validate battery and grid power directions before using the values in automation. Section 7 provides a suggested test set.
