These parameters are in the device Parameters tab. The generic INV-KNX application exposes options for several inverter families; the SMA limits below take precedence.
| Parameter | Values | SMA configuration guidance |
|---|---|---|
| AC Network | Single phase (default) / Tri-Phase | Select the installed AC network. |
| Number of PV Circuits | 1-4 in the generic application | Use 1 or 2 for this SMA application. PV3 and PV4 objects are not used. |
| Inverter model | 0-255 | 23 = SMA Sunny Tripower Smart Energy, SMA native profile, Unit Id 3 (default). 1 = SMA SBX0, SunSpec profile, Unit Id 126 (legacy). |
| Refresh rate (min) | 0-255 | Cyclic interval for polling the complete inverter data set. |
| Battery 1 | Not Used / Used | Enable for the installed battery. Full battery power and lifetime energy data require model 23. For model 23, battery objects are read only when this option is enabled. |
| Battery 2 | Not Used / Used | Not used for this SMA application. Leave Not Used. |
| Powermeter | Not Used / Used | Model 23 only. Enable when the installation supplies energy-meter data to the inverter. The object is read only when enabled. |
| Timezone | UTC-11 to UTC+14 | Installation timezone for logic functions using the weekly calendar. |
| Daylight saving time | Not Used / Used (default) | Select whether daylight saving applies to weekly calendar logic at the site. |
| Device Options | Text string | Not available on this device. Leave empty. |
Model dependent data
Select model 23 for installations requiring battery power, total charged or discharged battery energy, or the power meter object. Model 1 does not provide those values. An enabled object is useful only if the connected inverter and installed equipment provide its measurement.
Refresh rate
Allow at least the configured polling interval before judging whether values are updating. A slow interval can look like stale data during commissioning. Select the interval required by the project and verify its effect in ETS Group Monitor.
