| Symptom | Checks |
|---|---|
| Gateway webpage unavailable | Check the auxiliary supply, Ethernet cable and Network LED. Confirm the current gateway IP and laptop network settings. The factory IP is 192.168.1.51. |
| Network on but Connected off | Check the inverter IP, Mode = Connect, matching TCP port and enabled SMA Modbus TCP server. Check model 23 / Unit Id 3 or model 1 / Unit Id 126. Do not target Sunny Home Manager. |
| Connected on but no KNX values | Check the KNX connection, physical address, application download and GA assignments. Wait for the configured refresh interval. Check that the required battery or meter parameter is enabled. |
| Battery power or energy missing | Use model 23, Unit Id 3 and Battery 1 = Used with a supported battery. Daily battery charge/discharge and all Battery 2 objects are not used. |
| Grid power zero or unavailable | Use model 23 with Powermeter = Used. Check that an SMA Energy Meter or Sunny Home Manager supplies metering data to the inverter. |
| Power direction seems reversed | GO 42: charging positive, discharging negative. GO 55: import positive, export negative. Check the receiver’s sign interpretation. |
| Module status is non-zero | Record the error code, firmware, model and network settings. No error-code catalogue is provided in this manual; provide those details to Elausys support. |
Factory Default Reset
To restore the factory defaults, toggle KNX programming mode four times in succession within 30 seconds using the KNX programming button on the front of the gateway. On the fourth toggle, the Network status LED flashes three times before the module resets. All parameters, including network settings, return to their default configuration. The gateway is then accessible at its fixed IP address, 192.168.1.51. The ETS application remains loaded and does not need to be downloaded again.
KNX status and programming mode
The gateway administration page also displays the KNX bus status and allows you to switch KNX programming mode on or off.
